Look up

Did you know that on average Australians spend 6 hours 13 mins a day on the internet. A report released this month by creative agency ‘We Are Social’ and ‘Hootsuite’ (a global leader in social media management) presented the findings. That’s a 10% increase from last year’s average! I don’t know about you but I felt a bit yuck reading that.

Up until recently I was guilty of spending too much time on my device and scrolling socials – confirmed by the confronting ‘weekly screen time’ reminders. If you’re like me it was a bit disheartening that I spent so many hours per week with my head in my phone. And when I reflected on that time it didn’t trigger memories of laughing, joy or appreciating beauty.

My gorgeous friend and Alignment Specialist, Hayden Green, wrote a great article on the power of ‘looking up’. I love this. He shares research and talks about the impact on our minds and the physical damage we can cause constantly looking down. A great way to spend your device time is to read this article, As a team it’s making us feel lighter, and we want to support pushing those statistics down. Wanna join us and see how you feel too?
